Hi, and welcome to my site...This page is dedicated to Diablo, One of the best RPG's ever made. Tactics... Here I'll post tactics for Diablo...like there really are any..but there are some ways to beat certain monsters with ease...so take a look The Butcher: If you are a low level character, and you and your friends are going through the dungeon, you will inevitably meet the butcher unless you dont open the door, but I dont suggest that...Your best bet is to call upon the rogue in the group... First clear out the entire level, then hide everybody on the other side of the map...away from the butcher, and make sure they DONT move. Then, when that is all clear, have the rogue go up to the door, open it, (if the butcher doesnt move, take a step in and then out), and run to the stairs DOWN, but make sure the butcher follows you. When at the stairs, walk around the stairs and make TIGHT TURNS, do not accidentally slide or move off a bit! While you are doing this, the butcher should follow you around the stairs, and whne u get across from the entrance to the stairs, the butcher should stop and be stuck at the entrance...leaving u the perfect ability to keep a steady stream of arrows coming at him while he cant move to get you...no keep in mind not to move...this will throw him off and he wont be stuck any more... Many B.Net players are afraid to go through HELL/HELL, which is scary because most of them cant even make it through normal HELL on their own... This deeply concerns me, seriously, i mean, i got my 3rd dot right when i was lvl 30, and ive gotten my lvl 4 rogue a dot with ease, and I am legit! So, I have decided to post my strategy for all those lvl 30+ players who cant even go through normal hell, so read carefully...this may help you... HELL/HELL strategy and guidelines Ok, first of all, I'll start off with character armaments and tactics that will get you started. Many people despise the mage because he is weak as a low lvl character...but when he is lvl 30+ he is the best character you can have... and also the best character to have in HELL/HELL. The Warrior isnt very useful unless he has Mana Shield and Stone Curse...for in HELL/HELL ranged attacks are your best hope. The Rogue is stuck in the middle...she'll do really good if she is accompanied by some mages and has a good bow...i.e. Windforce. Now lets get to the tactics for each character. For those few of us who are mages, your best bet for staying alive is to max out these spells: Fireball, ChainLightning, Mana Shield, Lightning (for when you are playing with other people and dont want to kill them), Stone Curse, Elemental, and Guardian. Now it might be good to have Golem maxed, but further down the road it will be destroyed alot, and is also not for the impatient player. Now lets get down to items...the most important parts. IF you have those oh so important spells maxed, and know how to use them correctly, you really shouldnt have to worry about AC, cause AC doesn't really mean a thing when you are a mage and have mana shield maxed...so try and get a Naj's Light Plate or Saintly Plate of Sorcery. The next item down the list are RINGS + AMULETS. These are the primary things that will boost up your magic and mana, so concentrate on getting anything that boosts stats or magic + mana. Now, you may be thinking of using staves...thats a big no-no. If you can find one, get a Dreamflange, which will boost your spell lvl 1 like Naj's Light Plate, and also boost's the mana and magic. Now for helmets...if you are lucky, or search hard enough, you should find a Royal Circlet, which also boosts mana and magic. now with all those items all those important spells should be lvl 17 or maybe higher. Now to what you should do when in HELL/HELL. Well, use your spells like i said. First when you get down, automatically put on a Mana Shield, then hotkey to FireBall, which i forgot to tell you you should have these spells hotkeyed: Fireball, ChainLightning, Guardian, Elemental/Stone Curse. Now when you are down and have cast Mana Shield, either cast out some Fireballs or a Golem, then listen closely to whats dying. Now if you are an experienced player, you should be able to tell what mosnter it is by what sound it makes when it dies, along with what spell kills it, so you have advanced knowledge of what spell to use. After you have found out what type of spells you should use and what you are up against, hotkey up the spell that will do the job, which will either be Chain lightning or FireBall. Now keep in mind sometimes there are two kinds of monsters with different immunities in one lvl...so you may have to alternate between spells. In some cases, you will have monsters that are immune to lightning and some who are immune to fire, so if you are faced with the situation, when about to enter a room, put up a couple of guardians at the entrance to it, then arm your self with Chain Lightning, and let the guardians handle the ones who are immune to fire. Now you should be able to handle most of the early lvls of HELL/HELL. I'll have more strategies for Rogue and Warrior as soon as i can think them up, or interview a good Rogue or Warrior, for I only play as a Mage. So take this knowledge forth and kill some monsters and get your third dot!
